Today’s transmitter hunt started from Letterman Park, with the beacon going live shortly after 10:00 AM on the national foxhunt frequency of 146.565 MHz.

Rob (AE6GE) served as the fox, hiding behind the shopping center at the southeast corner of Minnewawa and Bullard—about 1,600 feet direct line-of-sight from the starting point, though urban reflections made for an interesting track.

Two teams took to the field to hunt down the signal:

1st Place: Guy (KN6WET) and Joerg (KN6YGA) — Found the fox first at 11:08 AM.
2nd Place: Harvey (KM6YFD) and Howard (KO6ATE) — Zeroed in on the location shortly after at 11:30 AM.

Thanks to Rob for hiding the transmitter and to both teams for participating.

Next Hunt: The next transmitter hunt is set for December 12th at 10:00 AM, starting from Letterman Park on 146.565 MHz. Mark your calendars and bring your direction-finding gear!
