Welcome to the monthly gathering of the Clovis Amateur Radio Pioneers (CARP) ! Our meetings serve as a vibrant hub for Central Valley amateur radio operators and enthusiasts to connect, learn, and grow together . Whether you are a newly licensed technician, an experienced extra, or just curious about the hobby, everyone is welcome . You do not need to be a club member or a licensed operator to attend—anyone with an interest in amateur radio is welcome!
These gatherings take place on the first Friday of nearly every month at 7:00 PM (with the exception of July, when no meeting is held) . We meet in person at the Clovis Senior Activity Center, located at 735 3rd Street, Clovis, CA 93612 .
Each month, you can look forward to club and repeater updates, upcoming public service and volunteer opportunities, and technical presentations covering topics like digital modes, antenna building, and emergency communications . It is also a fantastic opportunity to connect with seasoned "Elmer" mentors for help troubleshooting gear, study tips, or simply socializing with fellow hobbyists .
