Amateur Radio Technician Class October 2019

The Clovis Amateur Radio Pioneers is offering a series of educational classes to help you get your Amateur Radio License.

This is the first level license class designed to help prepare you to take the Amateur Radio FCC exam. This class is not mandatory but is a great way to learn for the exam and hear real world experience.

Some home work will be required (Pre-Study Guide Homework) as to help prepare students for the test and also shorten the number hours in class. Those that attend ALL CLASSES in the past have a high percentage of passing their first time.

Information provided will be from the Gordon West Technician Class 2018-2022 FCC Element 2 Radio License Preparation, 9th Edition. While not necessary, it is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED that you purchase a copy BEFORE the class. Copies can be purchased online at Amazon.com or directly from W5YI.org.

SBE Announces 2017 Scholarship Recipients

Four students receive funding from Ennes Educational Foundation Trust

INDIANAPOLIS — The Ennes Educational Foundation Trust has awarded four scholarships for 2017: Clifford White is the recipient of the Harold E. Ennes Scholarship; Thomas Carlisle receives the Robert Greenberg Scholarship; Timothy Kyobe is the receipient of the John H. Battison SBE Founder’s Scholarship; and Katy Gerber received the Youth Scholarship.
