CARP March Meeting – Our Sun

Blossom Run 10K Comms Volunteers – Saturday March 3

Sanger Blossom Run 10K event. We need volunteers to help with communications for the event. Communications volunteers will be providing communications at the water stops along the route. The event will run from approximately 7:00 am to 10:00 am.

M2 Open Houses – Saturday March 17

Bring your swap tables and your appetites! Spring is approaching and it’s time for the 14th Annual M2 Open House and Bar-B-Q.
Gates open for swappers at 7:30 am and M2 will open at 8:00 for tours, rag chewing and great deals on M2 products. There will
raffles for great stuff for Hams and non-Hams. Don’t miss M2’s famous HAM-burgers at 11:30. There is no charge to attend!

Amateur Radio Dealers and Manufacturers

DX’er Dennis Motschenbacher, K7BV will show off Yaesu’s impressive product line. We’ll also welcome for the first time
Tariq Hasnie, KF5CPU of WiNRADiO. Janet Margelli, KL7MF from Ham Radio Outlet Anaheim, and Jim and Linda Shryne from the DX
Store will be here with everything you need to enjoy your hobby to the fullest!

Amateur Radio Presentations

Look for a special forum on Portable Antenna Deployment by none other than CQ Magazine’s Chip Margelli, K7JA. Come see
everybody’s elmer, license training guru and author Gordon West, WB6NOA.

Amateur Satellite Demonstration

AMSAT members will demonstrate an amateur satellite station using antennas and rotators provided by M2!

Activities for Kids and New Hams

The Widget Factory gives kids a chance to build real, working circuits in a SAFE, SUPERVISED environment. ‘Kids’ of all
ages new to ham radio can get on the air with Amateur Radio Expo.

Transmitter Hunt

The Clovis Amateur Radio Pioneers will be sponsoring a hidden transmitter hunt starting at 7:30am. Bring your T-Hunt gear and

March of Dimes Comms Volunteers Needed – Saturday April 14

Communications volunteers needed to provide communications at rest stops and in golf/club carts. The event will run from approximately 7:30 am to noon.

Fresno/Clovis Area Mentors and Elmers offering License Training Classes

A group of Fresno/Clovis are hams are offering amateur radio license study classes. The eduacation classes are scheduled
to conclude the night before the License Exams offered by the Fresno/Clovis VE Team througout the year.

The first installment offered was a Element 2 Technician Class that was four sessions in length. The instructors for the class were Rob Mavis AE6GE,
Dan Pruitt AE6SX, Patrick May K6BRW, Glen Blomgren, and Gwen Blomgren. The Class netted 5 new Technician Class Licensees.

The next class offered will be the element 3 General Class. The schedule will be announced soon and start in late April. For more information on the group or the classes offered please contact Rob AE6GE

CARP April Meeting – Tour of Channel 21 Studios

The April CARP Meeting will be held at the KFTV Channel 21 Studios, where we will tour the facilities hosted by Ken Holden
WA6OIB and Channel 21. NOTE: The April Meeting will not be at our normal meeting location.

Mark your calendars to attend the meeting for a great tour at 7:00 pm at the KFTV Channel 21 Studios located at 601 W. Univision
Plaza on the southeast corner of Herndon and Palm in Fresno.

CARP Repeater System

The CARP repeater system consists of high and low-level repeaters that cover the
Central Valley and into the back-country of the Sierras. The repeaters are linked together and have access to the
advanced features of the system like IRLP, Echolink and
