Public Service

The Clovis Amateur Radio Pioneers in cooperation with amateur radio clubs throughout the valley come together to provide Amateur Radio communications support for various public events throughout the year.

Consistent and reliable communications are essential for event participant safety. Amateur radio allows for immediate relay of information to the entire event and can cover areas where cellphones do not work. This is where Amateur Radio excels.

Past events include:

  • America’s Walk for Diabetes
  • Bass Lake Powerhouse Double Century
  • California Classic Century Bicycle Ride
  • Climb to Kaiser Ride
  • Clovis Big Hat Day Century Bicycle Ride
  • Clovis Centennial Century Bicycle Ride
  • Hinds Hospice Angel Babies Walk
  • Kirch Flat Century Ride
  • March of Dimes March for Babies
  • North Fork Grizzly Century Ride
  • Off the Front Century Bicycle Ride
  • Rotary Chocolate Run
  • Sanger Blossom Trail 10K
  • Shinzen Run & Walk
  • Tour de Fresno Bicycle Event
  • Two Cities Marathon
