The new Amateur Extra class license examination question pool, effective from July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2020, now is available at the National Conference of Volunteer Coordinators (NCVEC) website. The latest revision contains a few minor corrections that had been released in a February 5 errata of the initial January 8 release. NCVEC Question Pool Committee Chair Rol Anders, K3RA, said the new pool represents a fairly significant change relative to the current question pool, which expires on June 30.

The FCC regulatory fee associated with Amateur Radio Vanity call signs is no longer required.
Beginning Thursday, September 3, 2015, applicants will be able to file all vanity applications (new and renewal) without having to pay a regulatory fee. FCC decided earlier this year to eliminate the regulatory fee component for Amateur Radio vanity call signs because their costs exceed the amount collected in fees.

2015 Element 3 General Class Question Pool
The Question Pool Committee of the NCVEC hereby releases into public domain the 2015-2019 General Class, Element 3, Question pool from the Question Pool.
This pool becomes effective for all Element 3 examinations to be administered on July 1, 2015 and remains valid until June 30, 2019.
The question pool files are available in PDF , Microsoft Word .DOC format, and .TXT format.
Section G7A requires the use of one illustration, a schematic drawing identified as G7-1. This drawing file is published separately and is available in raw JPEG
