CARP Summer Break 2017

The Clovis Amateur Radio Pioneers is currently on summer break. There will be no CARP meetings in the months of July or August. Even though we do not have any meetings in the summer months the club has many other activities. Keep checking here on the CARP website and/or check into our Thursday night nets for announcements for our other activities.

Saturday July 29, 2017 – 0800-1500

Time

Assignments vary between 0800 and 1500 hrs.

Mission

To provide health and safety radio communications between event locations.

Manpower

Need 6-12 amateur radio communications volunteers.

To provide health and safety communications between rest stops and event coordinator.

CARP Fireworks Stand Fundraiser 2017

CARP Fireworks Stand Fundraiser Volunteers Needed

The CARP Fireworks Stand will be open from June 28 through July 4.

This is CARP’s major fundraiser which allows us to maintain and upgrade the repeater system, pay for meeting location rental, insurance, provide the summer and Christmas parties and pay for the building of the CARP Mobile Communications Center. The more volunteers we get to help with the stand helps make things run easier.

Attention CARP 2017 Field Day Attendees

Thank you to those who have RSVP’d for the CARP 2017 ARRL Field Day event.  Even  if you did not RSVP you are welcome to come to the event.

If you are planning on attending CARP Field Day to will need to remember to bring a folding chair to sit in and your favorite beverage. While CARP is providing meals, we will have water so if you want soft drinks, etc, please bring them with you.

Field Day is the most popular amateur radio on-the-air event of the year. This is where amateur radio operators gather with their clubs to operate from remote locations. This is an opportunity to demonstrate to the public our response capabilities.

CARP will be holding Field Day at Pine Ridge School located at the top of the 168 four-lanes east of Fresno. All local amateurs and the public is invite to attend the event.
